The holidays are over, the snow has finally started to fall, the kids are back in school, and the days are getting lighter as the year has started its upswing.
This is also the time of year when we look back on the previous 12 months and forward to the future. Harvey Kalles Real Estate, our brokerage, has published a 2012 real estate roundup that takes a critical look at last year's market, along with a set of predictions for 2013.
We're now in what real estate agents call the "winter market". Traditionally, it's a slower market than fall or spring - though this year, as Moneyville reports, many sellers are choosing to list in January. We're still in the midst of a shifting market as we head into 2013, and time will tell whether these shifts are seasonal or more permanent, but we'll keep you up to date either way - and so far, it looks fairly optimistic. You can find out more in this month's market report below.
